Personal Development and Team Synergy Creation Workshop

To ensure success it is essential, for an organisation, to ensure that all its members’ efforts are focussed on a common goal.

The core purpose of Team Synergy Creation is to combine the different strengths, talents and abilities of the members of the organisation and guide them in a direction that will achieve the objectives of the organisation.

The key element Team Synergy Creation is to encourage the members of the team to voluntarily commit to the objectives of the team. Team members need to know exactly where they are going and have a plan for getting there. Much of the problems experienced with Teams stems from a sense of uncertainty as to the purpose of the team.

This workshop teaches skills and techniques that will change your focus from ‘motion’ (which is concentrating on what you do and how you do it), to ‘emotion’ (which is why you do it).

Once there is a clear understanding of the desired outcomes, and the benefits of achieving those outcomes there will a natural enthusiasm and commitment that will empower the team to achieve much more than they thought possible.

The key issues of Team Synergy Creation are to:

>> Generate enthusiasm for the job.

>> Weld the group into a team committed to the Vision.

>> Emphasise and instil the Corporate culture.

>> Ensure “buy in” to, and generate support for, the Corporate Vision.

>> Increase inter-departmental communication and co-operation.

Your business performs the way that it does because the people in your business think the way that they do. Therefore the only way to improve the performance of your business is to improve the way that the people who operate in your business think about themselves and the work that they do.

In order to achieve the objective of creating TEAM SYNERGY this workshop emphasises the 3 key success principles of successful teams.

1. Manage Yourself - Personal Mastery

You have to manage yourself in order to successfully integrate into the team. Team players must be skilled in their own speciality and be able to use their skills to support the other team members. Any team is only as good as the members of the team, therefore to improve the team personal improvement is essential.

2. Understand the process - Professional Mastery

It is essential that you know what you want to achieve, why you want to achieve it and how you are going to achieve it. Only when you know why you are doing what you are doing can you control how you do it.

3. Inspire others - Relationship Mastery

While you are responsible for the state of your life you must accept that you do not live in a vacuum and you need relationships with others. The state of your life is largely determined by the state of your relationships. Really effective team players understand that in order for them to win the TEAM must win, therefore they constantly encourage and support their team mates.

Workshop Content

During the workshop we will cover the following primary subjects:

>> Emotional Mastery – What it is – Why it’s important – How to get it.

>> The Rules of Life – Life is a game and just like any game it is easier to play when you know the rules.

>> Rules of SUCCESS – Once you understand and apply these rules your life will improve dramatically.

>> Dealing with Reality – Learning to evaluate our interpretation of our circumstances.

>> The Power of ATTITUDE – How you behave while you do what you do will determine the result of what you do. Accept that it is your attitude that determines your performance.

>> Understanding the role of the BUSINESS and your ROLE in the business – In order to MASTER a subject you have to understand it.

>> Developing a POWER driven team – Applying the POWER Principle is the way to Team Success.

>> Vision and Culture creation – WHAT we want to achieve and HOW we will behave while striving to achieve it. Until you know where you are going you won't know how to get there. Until you are convinced of the value of going you will not be enthusiastic about going there. Your reputation is your most valuable asset. Define it. Protect it.

>> Getting your DUCKS in a Row – Identifying what is important to the business and the team. Setting common goals and working towards a common objective

>> Communication – The effectiveness of your communication determines the quality of your results. Learning the POWER of SELF TALK and TEAM TALK.

>> The Secret to Personal Power – How to make the best choices. "Emotional Mastery" is the ability to control you behaviour in the present in order to achieve a desired outcome in the future.

This workshop really emphasises the philosophy that “team players concentrate on adding value to the team”

The Intent of the workshop is to

1. Create and Commit to a Vision for the Team

2. Create and Commit to shared Values

3. Develop and Display "Emotional Maturity" in the workplace

4. Identify and acknowledge the interconnectedness of each others roles.

5. Create a team by aligning individual contributions to the greater "whole". Creating a "Universe" from a "Multiverse"

6. Give each team member an opportunity to create the character they would prefer to be.

The workshop will have many practical, but non-threatening and non-invasive exercises that will ensure that the lessons learned are practically applied.

In order for us to achieve our goals we really needed this session.

I have to know what is expected of me and go in line with the vision and mission of the organisation.

The content had issues that are really lacking in my organisation. Personally it was even more fulfilling, for the very first time in a long-long time in my life I love myself, at peace with what I can’t change and the wisdom to change what I believe I can change.

In terms of what you are capable of what you now call excellence is merely mediocrity.
