The Calf Carrier

One day, as often happens on farms, a calf was born. The farmer decided to see how for how long he could carry the calf, so every day he would pick up the calf and carry it around.

As the calf grew bigger the farmer grew stronger until eventually the calf was quite big and the farmer very strong.

The story of the farmer and the calf spread and soon people were coming from all over to see for themselves if it was true. They were amazed at the sight of the farmer picking up this large calf. Some of them would try to pick up the calf and found that they could not do it.

"That’s what comes from living on a farm" the city folk would say. Yet other farmers would try to lift the calf and couldn’t.

"He’s just lucky to have been born so strong" some would say, yet, when looking at earlier photos of the farmer they could see that he hadn’t always been this strong.

The moral of the story is that you should not try to pick up someone else’s calf. You can’t start where they are now because you are not them, you haven’t had their life.

You must find your own calf, your dream for your life, and you must make the decision to carry it every day. As you nurture your dream so it will grow bigger and you will grow stronger and soon people will look at you in amazement and say that you are just lucky and that you were just in the right place at the right time, and they will be right.

Yes you are lucky, you dared to dream and then had the courage to act on that dream.

Yes you were in the right place at the right time. The right place was working to make your dream a reality. The right time was all the time.

Become a calf carrier, you will be amazed at what you are capable of. But do not keep it to yourself, teach others to be calf carriers too because when we create a society of calf carriers we will be unstoppable.
