The only way to overcome FEAR is with FAITH.

Both FEAR and FAITH operate on the same principle, the principle of expectation. FEAR is expecting what you DON'T want and FAITH is expecting what you DO want. FEAR is a "Fantasised negative Expectation that Activates Resistance" while FAITH is a "Feeling As If This can Happen" Fear is a negative disempowering expectation. Faith is a positive empowering expectation.

Realise that fear is useful, it is a warning that there is something in your environment that you do not like. The only thing to fear is that your fear will paralyse you, so to overcome your fear and use it to prepare you for, and propel you into, a new future use faith.

Face it. Until you face your fear you cannot overcome it. Realise that you are always afraid of what you think might happen, so you need to have the emotional maturity to take control of your emotions and ask rational questions. You can't solve your problems until you face them, and courage is not action in the absence of fear but action in spite of your fears.

Accept it. What is, is. There is no point in denying how you feel, accept the situation. Realise that you cannot change what has been nor can you change what is, you can only change what may be. There is no point in "external blame" which is anger or "internal blame" which is guilt. Both stop you from being rational and effective.

Investigate it. You are never afraid of what is happening or what has happened, you are always afraid of what you think might happen and what you imagine is usually much more frightening than what really happens. So learn to ask yourself these questions. "What is it that you fear?" "Why do you fear it?" "What makes you think it will happen?" "How likely is it to happen?" "What is the worst that can happen?" "If it happens can you live with it?" "What would you prefer to have happen?" "What needs to change in order to get what you prefer?" "What is in your control?" "What is stopping you from taking action?"

Tackle it. The best cure for worry and fear is action. The more you dwell on your fear the more real it seems and the less energy you have to deal with it. What we imagine is most often more frightening than what we experience, and by your fear you often create the very situation that you feared. Decide what needs to be done and then do it. Keep your preferred outcome in mind and make sure that you work to achieve it.

Heal it. Always "rationalise", never "awfulise". Feed your FAITH not your FEAR. Accept that many of the things that you fear are the expected results of your own actions. Accept that if it can't be cured it must be endured. While you can never go back and make a new start it is never too late to start to make a new life and so create a different future.

So picture what you want and not what you fear and learn that "The only way to overcome FEAR is with FAITH"
