Whatever you
experience in your outer world has first been created in your inner world.
Everything begins with a thought, no matter how fleeting but a thought none
the less. When I say everything, I mean everything. If you can think of one
thing that was or is that was not first a thought please let me know.
Think of every
physical thing that you use. Cups, knives, cars, paper, your home, your
clothes whatever you own or use was first a thought. Before it could be made
someone had to think of making it. The fact that you own it or use it was
first preceded by a thought, the thought of owning or using it.
Think of your
relationships. They too were first preceded by a thought. When you first met
the person you had to think that you would like to get to know them better
otherwise you would not have made the effort. The state your relationships
are in now is controlled by thought. What are you thinking about the other
person? What are you thinking about yourself in this relationship? Are you
thinking about what's great or about what's gross?
The state of
your emotions, how you feel right now is controlled by thought. If you are
happy it means that you are thinking happy thoughts and have positive
expectations for the day. If you are angry it means that you are thinking
angry thoughts, feeling that someone has done, or has not done something,
and you feel that it is going to deprive you of something that is
"rightfully" yours.
The fact that
everything is controlled by thought puts you into a very powerful position.
It puts you in control. Why? Because they are your thoughts, and since they
are your thoughts you can control them. Constantly question your thoughts,
How do they make you feel? How do they affect your behaviour? How do they
affect your relationships with others. If you find that your thoughts are
harming you then change them. Exactly the way that you will skip a track on
your CD that you don't like, so you can skip thoughts that you don't like,
merely by thinking a different thought.
Develop the
habit of thinking about what you want and not about what you don't want.
Always check the picture that is formed in your mind by your thoughts, is
this what you want? If not change your thoughts, so that you get the picture
of what you really want. Never say "Don't fall" when you mean "Be careful"
But remember
this what ever you are experiencing in your life right now is as a result of
your thoughts. So learn to control your thoughts and you will control your
life. All things are created twice, but you get the opportunity to control
the first creation, the creation in your mind. So choose carefully. What do
you want to create in your life? Make sure that your inner world is
supportive of the life that you want to lead because "All things are created
twice"
