How much does your TV cost you?

No I don't mean, how much did you pay for it. And no, I don't mean how much does your TV license or your DSTV cost subscription cost. I want to know what it costs you in lost opportunity.

So many people I speak to say that they have no time to study and they can't afford to go to college, yet most people that I speak to can tell me exactly what programs are on TV and when they are on. In fact I know some people who will rush home so that they do not miss an episode of their favourite "soapie". (have you ever considered why it's called a "soapie" it's because it's brain washing you. In fact some people have watched so many episodes of "Days of our Lives" that they now live their lives in a daze)

The only way that you are going to improve your wealth is by improving your value to the market place. The only way that you are going to improve your value to the market place is by improving yourself and the offering that you make to the market place.

So next time you plonk yourself in front of your "brain drain box" your TV just ask yourself if this is a valuable use of your precious time and if this will help you to improve your value to others.
