Escape..

I lie on the lawn in a weightless state

Now my mind can peacefully roam

This place fades away, my senses awake

To pleasures and memories of home.

A rhythmical cooing of doves sets the tone

Such a rich and comforting sound

There are whispering leaves, branches creak and moan

As wild Finches dart frantically round.

Far away a dull drone from invisible hives

Warnings from Louries to leave

 The violent calls of Pied Crows cut like knives

 As They circle and dive and weave.

The worshippers pray in the bush far away

A soft chanting and clapping begins

The beat of their drums tells their story, they say

Of the Souls and past lives of their Kin

Let me stroll down this lane of warmth and love

Hold tight to such gentle home truths

As my soul moves up higher and further above

To that place that encircles and soothes

I lie on the lawn in a weightless state

Now my mind is sufficiently fed

I open my eyes to reality - Fate

And hold on to my secret you’ve read..
